According to China’s Commercial Times, manufacturing of the Apple iPad 2 and the iPhone 5 will begin in February for the iPad 2 and iPhone 5 around May.
Commercial Times told Apple Insider that when production of the iPad 2 is due to start in February, they will be running a small pilot production and then boost more production towards the second half of the year, which one can only assume would be in time for the festive season of 2011.
As well as this shipments are expected to be larger than the previous iPad deliveries in an aim to alleviate any problems with supply and product shortages.
There has been speculation that we could see an April release date for the iPad 2 which certainly looks on track if production is due to start in February. As for the iPhone 5, in the past, previous iPhones have hit the shelves in June and with news from China’s Commercial Times of production starting in May, a June release date does fit in with previous iPhone trends.
