Biggest Mistake Anti Virus Users

In November 2010, which then, IT security experts from Avira has conducted surveys of consumer security for computer users around the world.

From the results of these studies show that more than 60% of respondents have tried several anti virus products within a year. In addition, as many as 25% of users admitted to disable their anti virus protection. This is because they think it will slow the computer program.

The sample size of surveys of consumer safety is 9.091 with a margin of error of between 0.28% and 1%. The questions were submitted to Avira users 100 million more worldwide, is based on an international survey. Here are the results of the survey in November Avira security:

* 62.84% - Have tried a variety of security products within a year.
* 25.15% - Disable Anti-virus software because I feel that my computer slow.
* 12.01% - Did not think to use the dorm because of the security reasons.

"It is no wonder that consumers are trying more than two security products every year because everyone is trying to find the right security products that can effectively balance the protection and utilization of their computers" said Sorin Mustaca, data security expert Avira.

What is frightening from this survey is that 25 percent of respondents said they turn off their security products because they feel that it affects engine performance. That's not a good idea because there are going to let the computer completely exposed to the virus even the simplest virus, could allow malicious people to enter into a botnet virus that is used to distribute malware and phishing.

This is a clear sign to any vendor who care about the security features of software so as not to burden the system performance which may have a major impact. In the end, when everything turned into security software, it is better to minimize the protection that go unnoticed security instead of using protection with a sound or a warning that most users turn off in order to use his computer.
