Special Robot "tweet" from Space

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) plans to send a humanoid robot into space. Robots are typically expected to communicate with humans on Earth via Twitter microblogging network.

JAXA plans to conduct the study before launching the most rapid robot in 2013. JAXA will send robot to the International Space Station.

The robot is expected to be nge-tweet simple words, like "good morning" and "good night". Not to forget, the robot will also inform its location in space.

JAXA engineers, Satoshi Sano, say, this robot could help to communicate when the astronauts were sleeping. Robots also can measure the stress level of the astronauts to detect tone and expression on their faces.

"In line with a society that increasingly enthusiastic, I hope this robot project can facilitate communication with older people in isolated places in space as well as members of families," Sano said.

In addition to JAXA, the Japanese advertising agency Dentsu and Tokyo University also will support this project. Meanwhile, NASA will also send a humanoid robot that will bring together the space shuttle Discovery next week
